Day 29 - Forever Young (Alphaville)

When the title of a song is literal perfection in describing one’s mental state, you love that song ,and play the shit out of it when it comes on the radio. Or in this case, Sirius X.M. channel 33 First Wave with Larry the Duck, which is my current day connection to what was so prevalent and formative to me in the mid-eighties. Forever Young, by Alphaville. Well, that’s how I wanna be. And it’s how I actually feel inside my brain, when my eyes don’t catch a self-glimpse in a passing mirror, and I’m reminded that I’m actually a misshapen 53 year old. And then you listen to the lyrics and they’re actually topical. I suppose the state of the world is such that it never really changes and we, as humans, will always yearn for the innocence of youth.
