Day 2 - You’re The Best Thing (Style Council)

I am lucky enough to say I got to marry my best friend three years ago on this day. I don’t know how it happened, and I can only wish that any of you reading this can say the same thing, but somehow I found someone who doesn’t just love me but also LIKES me. And the same for me. He puts me in my place when needed, yanks me off the ledge when I’m teetering up there, and he lets me be me without trying to change me (much). I may complain (right to his face!) but I can’t imagine a life without my Woof. Nothing compares to our adventures and our down time together. Whether doing nothing, or running around the cold January streets of Manhattan, it’s always better because he is there! I chose this relatively obscure eighties song by the Style Council today because of its simplicity and the very direct message: You’re the best thing that ever happened to me or my world.
