Day 14 - Someday We’ll Know / You Get What You Give (New Radicals)

I like when an obscure song, like Someday We’ll Know, ends up on my lists. It makes me feel good to share something that means a lot to me with anyone who’ll listen. In fact, it’s good enough a song that artists like Mandy Moore and Hall and Oates (squeek!) have done cover versions. It’s a song that anguishes through the confusion over why a relationship ended. Gee, I wonder why I can connect to this one. I’m such a Predicta-Bull. Either way, it’s just really an honest ballad that provokes the hope that someday. Too bad the New Radicals didn’t stay together to produce more music, I really loved their sound. Their one-hit wonder You Get What You Give is also a giant favorite. It’s a bouncy representation of the times, but it’s so catchy I can never help but crank it up and sing along.
