Reelin In The Years (Steely Dan) / Do It Again (Steely Dan) - Day 22

Finally, songs from a band that aren’t going to make anyone try and hang themselves! Steely Dan has released a good amount of amazing music, but for me there are 2 giants, and they are Reelin’ In The Years and Do It Again. These are songs that, when they come on the radio, get cranked to maximum and my poor steering wheel ends up getting drummed on like that’s its job. I challenge you to listen to either of these songs and not enjoy them. They don’t necessarily remind me of anything (which, if you’ve been following my 50 to 50 blog, most songs do) but they always perk me up and make me feel good, which is the whole point of music, no?
